How to get Organized for Summer

Summer is one of my favorite times of the year. I often find myself throwing together informal meals and inviting my neighbors and their kids to join my family for dinner. Although summer is a great time for relaxed backyard gatherings, organization is still important.

I arm myself with these items to make my gatherings worry-free:

1. The Pop a Plate Dispenser is a clever storage solution that mounts underneath your cabinets and holds paper plates. No one wants to do dishes when guests are over, so use this space-saving paper plate dispenser for quick, easy cleanup. While you’re at it, add the Pop a Napkin Dispenser. This mounts the same way as the plate dispenser and will give your family easy access to napkins.

2. With all the grilling I do in the summer, I have loads of spices that crowd the space in my cabinets. This year, I purchased the In Drawer Spice Rack Set. It fits right into my kitchen drawer and can organize up to 12 bottles. The labels that come with the rack make my spices even easier to find.

3. I seem to acquire most of my new recipes when I’m chatting with friends at backyard gatherings. Recipes also need organizing, so I use the Acrylic Recipe Box. It’s large enough to hold all my recipes and, since it’s clear, it matches my décor. The box comes with great dividers (which I label to save time), so you can separate your recipes into categories, keeping desserts apart from salads.
