If your home is anything like mine, it probably looks like a tornado came through it after your guests leave. When you have people staying in your home, it can create chaos. I’m a big believer in organization systems, but your guests don’t know your system, so they will not be able to help maintain your order.
My best suggestion is to use some quick clean up products that will help you restore order quickly until you can get things back into the flow of your system. These are not meant to be permanent solutions in all cases, but should help you quickly reclaim a space after your crowd leaves.
Grab several Plastic Mesh Baskets to help with quick clean up in any room. These are great since they have handles, so they are easy to carry from place to place. They nest inside one another when they are not in use, which also makes them super easy to store. Place a few of these in the playroom for quick clean up after friends leave, or even in the guest room to gather magazines, newspapers or books.

My personal favorite is the Over the Door Organizer for a quick clean up in the playroom, or even a kid’s bedroom. You can scoop up those random items that kids usually leave around, and store them in one of the 8 vinyl pockets or the 6 mesh pockets. Lastly, I recommend the Large Silver Mesh Rolling Bin . It’s on wheels, which means quick clean ups! Wheel it into a room and gather up odds and ends, then wheel it off to storage or into the bottom of a closet. Remember this is TEMPORARY and only to be used for quick clean up situations. You should go through this bin as soon as you are able and return items to where they belong, so that your organization system can remain intact.
