Here’s some tried and true advice to keep your home communication center in good shape:

• Open your mail over the trash can! Most of it is JUNK, so throw it out, or shred it when necessary to protect your identity.
  
  
• Pitch catalogs that come every week. First off, you know they will send you another one in a week, so if you’re not in the market now, pitch it! Second, most catalogs can be viewed online so why store extra paper when it’s out there in cyber space?
  
  
• Get a good system in place for your bills. Have a designated spot for bills that need to be paid and keep your bill paying supplies together. Gather the stamps, return address stickers, checkbook, pen and stamps, so you’ll have everything you need at your fingertips. • File regularly! Set up an organized filing system that is clearly labeled to make filing a breeze! Designate even one hour a week to file.
