Keep Your Counters Clutter Free

Counter space is at a premium in most homes, so I’m always looking for ways to maximize counter space in the kitchen. The kitchen counter tends to become a clutter magnet in the home.

For the things I use often and must keep out, I try to store them with style. For example, I don’t eat bananas, but two of my family members do. A large bowl on the counter takes up too much space, and isn’t nearly as stylish as the Euro Satin Nickel Banana Holder. This sleek gadget allows the bananas to literally hang and ripen while taking up much less counter space then a bowl.

One thing I do use a lot of is paper towels.  I have three kids, so spills and “clean up in aisle 3” happen all the time at my house.  My paper towels need to be right at my finger tips, but at the same time, I don’t want to lose any valuable counter space.  I personally love using the Magnetic Paper Towel Holder. I stick it to the side of the fridge for easy access without cluttering my kitchen counter tops.

If your fridge is not magnetic, then go for my second choice - the Under the Cabinet Paper Towel Holder.  You can mount this item under the cabinet or even on a wall - it’s fantastic!

If you are going to place something on your counter top, make sure it’s serving an important purpose. For example, I am a big fan of the Utensil Holder, which holds all of my larger utensils, such as wooden spoons, spatulas and tongs. I like having these on my counter so I have easy access to them when I am cooking and serving food. I also love having the extra space in my kitchen drawers!
