Laundry Room Organizing Tips that Will Lighten the Load
Created on Oct 23, 2013
When it comes to organizing a laundry room, seems it’s last on the list. That’s because it’s not a space that guests see and typically not a space that is considered “fun.” However, if you think about it, it’s a space that we spend a large part of our week in, especially if there are kids involved!
Time to rethink your laundry room! Turn this work space into a fun space with these three simple tips.
Paint the walls in fun colors so that when you are in the space it’s less intimidating. We love this

from Better Homes and Gardens. If this were my laundry room, it would make the job more enjoyable.
Add smart storage.
A single shelf with hanging space is b-o-r-i-n-g. Plus, it creates wasted space. Instead, opt for an
Organized Living storage system
that adjusts based on your storage needs. For instance, if you sort laundry in the space, it’s important that your space has pull-out baskets. If you fold laundry in the space, be sure to add a flat surface or desk top. Or, if you don’t like all of your sprays and detergents out in the open, try cabinets with doors to hide it all.
Add a clever cleaning chart for stain removal and fabric washing instructions.
We found these
laundry stain removal tags on Pinterest
and just had to share them. All you have to do is print, cut apart, hole-punch, and slip these free labels onto a binder ring and even your toughest stains won’t stand a chance.
